How does it work?
In the Answer scenario, the student gets points for each correct answer and a point deduction for each incorrect answer.

How to add the marking rules?
The Answer scenario and the marking rule One point per correct answer option are pre-selected under  Marking rules when you create a new question. To customize the point value for correct answers, simply edit the point allocation. The total points available for each question are displayed under the marking rules.

Good to know

• Points are deducted for each incorrect answer, however the lowest possible total score for a question is zero - minus points cannot be given.
• If you don't want to deduct points for incorrect answers, you can add custom rules instead (see example 1 and 5 in this article for more information).
