On Exam.net, you have the possibility to add comments to a conducted exam during the marking process.

There are two different types of comments:

• Student feedback - included in exports
• Teacher comment - not included in exports

In a question type based exam, you will find the comment function below each question, as well as at the bottom of the student's exam.

In the other exam types (PDF-based exams, Free Form exams) you can find the feedback function at the bottom of the student's exam.

Student feedback

These comments are included when exporting the student's exam.

They are also visible if you send the exam digitally to the student via email from Exam.net.

They are not visible for students inside the student exam view, meaning that they are not visible for students when resuming exams.

Teacher comment

This type of comment is not visible to the students and will not be included in the export of the student answers.

This feature can be used, for example, to communicate with a teacher colleague within the exam, as in the example below where a teacher has notified her colleagues about who marked this student's exam.
