Install high-security software (SEB, Exam.net app, Kiosk App for Chromebooks)

  • User Guide for Installing High-Security Software

    To ensure secure exams, specific software is required based on the device you are using. We recommend Safe Exam Browser (SEB) for Windows devices, while dedicated Exam.net apps are used on iOS, macOS, and Chromebook devices.

    Windows - Safe exam browser (SEB)

    1. Download SEB: Click here to download SEB version 3.8.0 to your device.

    2. Install SEB: Double-click on the installation file and then follow the steps to complete the installation.



    3. Testing SEB installation: Once installed, test your SEB setup by clicking here

    4. Using SEB: Students never have to start SEB manually - the program starts automatically when entering an exam key in Exam.net.

    iOS and macOS - Exam.net application

    1. Download the app: Download the app by clicking here or by searching for "Exam.net" or "Examnet" in the App Store.

    2. Using the app:
      • Start the app before the exam, press "Begin exam," and enter the exam key.

    3. Practice mode: The app also provides a practice mode that allows you to experience the exam environment without needing an exam key.

    Chromebook - Kiosk

    Note: Due to Google policies, the Exam.net Kiosk app can only be installed on Chromebooks that are centrally managed. Private Chromebooks cannot install this app.

    1. For Google administrators: Follow the Installation instructions provided for setting up the Kiosk app on managed Chromebooks.

    2. Licensing requirements: For Chromebooks manufactured in 2017 or later, a license is required to install and run Kiosk apps.
