On Exam.net, you have the option to activate tools/accommodations for individual students if you do not want all students in an exam to have access to the tool. 

You grant the student access to the tool when they've entered the exam.

1. Click the student's name in the participant list in the monitoring view.
2. Select "Accommodations" further down the page.
3. Enable the tool you want the student to have access to.

Note that the tool is activated immediately for the student.
