On Exam.net, you can activate tools/accommodations for individual students if you do not want all students in the exam to have access to the tool. 

You grant the student access to the tool/accommodations in the monitoring view by following the steps below. 

1. Click the student's name in the participant list in the monitoring view.
2. Select "Accommodations" further down the page.
3. Enable the tool-/s you want the student to have access to.
   
   The tool is activated immediately

Please note that this has to be done after the first time the student enters the exam.

If you want some of your students to access a tool, you can either follow the steps above or give those students an exam key to an exam duplicate where you've activated the tools from the exam configurations.
