This question type is compatible with Auto-marking.

The "Categorize" question format is a powerful tool that allows educators to create grids with distinct categories and corresponding answer options. Teachers can present students with a set of items and instruct them to categorize each item into the appropriate group.

Create a Grid question

1. Enter the question
   First, write the student instructions for the question.
   
   
   
   
2. Enter the answer option
   Here, you enter the categories, the alternatives and mark the correct answers. To add a category or an alternative, click on the + icon in the grid.
   
   You also have the option to decide wether you want the alternatives to shuffle for the students when they are taking the exam, or if you want them to be presented in the same order for all students.
   
   
   
   
3. Add marking rules
   The marking rules govern the scoring for correct/incorrect answers. Here, you set up the desired rules.
