You can now pre-define how much time the students will have before being required to hand in the exam. You activate the timer in the exam settings in step 3.

Each timer is individual, and the countdown starts when the student enters the exam.

If students re-enter the exam, the timer is reset.

How much time there's left can be seen in the bottom left-hand corner in the student's exams area.

When there are only 2 minutes left, the students will receive a warning about this and the timer will turn red. When the time has passed, the exam will be automatically submitted.

Can individual students be given more time?
You can't add time for individual students in the same exam. All students get the same amount of time.

If you want some students to have more time than others, our best tip is to create a separate exam for those students.

Also, If you want students to continue their work after the timer runs out, they can resume the exam.
